Solatube Dome Upgrade
My current 10” Solatube unit is abbot 20 years old and the dome plastic has started to yellow due to all day sun. I also noticed that the plastic mounting ring to the flashing base has started to crack and the for mounting screws has started to rust. The upgrade design is much improved including the dome, which seems to be able to capture more light due to its more vertical design and the mounting screws, which are now shielded from the outside weather elements. Installation took about 15 minutes without any complications.
