Solatube Parts & Accessories
A little more control. A fresh look. The right finishing touch.
Add a gentle light for nighttime trips down the hallway. Adjust daylight for an afternoon movie. Refresh an older ceiling fixture—or finish the installation you are planning.
Solatube accessories help you adapt your daylighting system to the way you use your home. Start with what you want to change, then match the part to your system's model, size and existing components.
Make the light work for you
Three different ways to change your lighting.
Reducing daylight, adding electric light and creating a soft nighttime glow are different jobs. Choose the accessory that matches the experience you want in the room.
Solar-Powered Daylight Dimmer
Adjust incoming daylight with a wireless remote. A useful addition for bedrooms, nurseries and media rooms where you sometimes want less light.
Available for compatible 10-inch and 14-inch systems. A rooftop solar panel powers the dimmer; installation includes the panel and its connection to the assembly.
Explore the daylight dimmer →Electric Light Add-On Kit
Use the same ceiling fixture for daylight and electric lighting. The kit operates on 120V household power and accepts medium-base E26 bulbs.
The 10-inch version supports one bulb; the 14-inch version supports up to two. Bulbs are sold separately, with a listed maximum of 23 watts per socket.
Explore the electric light kit →Integrated Solar NightLight
Add subtle nighttime illumination to a compatible system. The NightLight stores solar energy during the day and automatically provides a gentle glow after sunset.
A natural choice for hallways and bathrooms when you want low-level light. It operates without a household electrical connection and is intended for ambient illumination.

The right reach. The right angle. The right roof connection.
Spectralight® Infinity Extension Tube
Bridge additional distance between roof and ceiling with a 20-inch extension tube. Choose the 10-inch or 14-inch diameter to match your Solatube system.
Spectralight Infinity tubing offers up to 99.7% reflectivity. Each extension includes foil tape and installation screws. Allow for required overlaps when planning the assembled length.
Shop extension tubes →Adjustable Angle Extension Tube
A 0–90° adjustable section helps accommodate an offset between the rooftop collector and ceiling location. Match the diameter and plan the route around framing and other obstacles.
Use only the bends your installation needs. Tube length and changes in direction affect daylight delivery.
Shop adjustable angle tubes →Flashing & roof components
Select the roof connection for your system diameter, roof pitch and roofing material. Pitched flashing is one option; other roof conditions need a different flashing or additional installation components.
For reroofing projects, identify the existing system before choosing replacement roof parts.

Start with the part you want to replace.
A ceiling diffuser, bottom tube assembly and rooftop dome are different components. Identifying which one needs attention helps you choose between a replacement part and a more complete upgrade.
| Your project | Explore | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Replace a ceiling diffuser | Classic Vusion Diffuser | Existing fixture style, attachment method and system generation. The listing requests fitment assistance before ordering. |
| Update the lower assembly | Bottom Tube Upgrade Kit LX | Model and diameter. The kit includes a bottom tube with angle adapter, Softening Effect Lens, Classic Vusion Diffuser and foil tape. |
| Upgrade the rooftop dome | Dome Upgrade Kit | Existing dome, system model and rooftop assembly. Confirm the matching kit for your installation. |
| Change the visible ceiling finish | Compatible decorative fixture or fixture upgrade | The bottom tube and mounting arrangement, as well as fixture size and shape. |
For older installations, a matching diameter is only part of the fit. Have the existing assembly identified before ordering a replacement fixture or upgrade.
Daylight and ventilation together
Help clear bathroom steam with one ceiling fixture.
The Bathroom Ventilation Add-On Kit combines a ventilation inlet with your Solatube ceiling assembly. It helps remove humid air while keeping the ceiling arrangement tidy.
This kit is specifically listed for 10-inch Solatube 160 DS and 160ISn systems. It is not an add-on for the 14-inch 290 Series.

Three details make finding your part easier.
1. System model
Find the model on your paperwork or an accessible product label. Include the approximate installation year when asking about an older system.
2. Tube diameter
The 160 Series uses a 10-inch tube; the 290 Series uses a 14-inch tube. The outside dimensions of the decorative ceiling trim are not the tube diameter.
3. Existing components
Note the ceiling fixture style and any installed light, dimmer or ventilation add-on. These details help identify the correct replacement and compatible upgrades.
Common accessory questions
Choose the part with confidence.
Will a new accessory fit an older Solatube?
Compatibility depends on the accessory and the existing assembly. Model, diameter and fixture generation can all matter. An older installation may need an upgrade assembly to accept a newer fixture.
Should I choose the electric light kit or Solar NightLight?
Choose the electric kit when you want bulb-based lighting powered by a household circuit. Choose the Solar NightLight for a gentle automatic glow after dark. Their light output and power requirements serve different purposes.
Does the daylight dimmer control an electric bulb?
The daylight dimmer regulates natural light traveling through the tube. Electric lighting uses its own electrical controls; the two accessories perform different jobs.
How many extension tubes do I need?
Measure the planned roof-to-ceiling route and compare it with the tubing already included in your kit. Account for overlaps and any angle sections. For a long or complicated route, have the configuration checked before ordering.
Can I replace only the diffuser?
A diffuser-only replacement may be suitable when the existing lower assembly accepts the replacement. If the mounting arrangement differs, a bottom tube upgrade may be needed. Confirm the fit before choosing by appearance alone.
